This has been a rough week for the dirt track community. Saw on another board that Stephen Allard and Doug Hoffman passed away this week. Please keep their families in your thoughts and prayers.

Doug Hoffman was a greta driver 400+ wins. The last few years he was promoting. He did a really good job at Bridgeport NJ this past year. Prayers to the Hoffman family.

Doug was the first racer I remember cheering for. Also being from Allentown, PA like Doug he was my hometown hero. My older sister loved Billy Pauch so I naturally had to cheer against him. Even as a teenager I was in awe when I got to hang out at his shop and he let me sit in one of his cars. My room was like a shrine to him with photos and models of his cars top to bottom. I even painted my rc cars to resemble his. I felt "unbeatable" when I was in one of Doug's cars. From his beginnings at Dorney Park to Syracuse, from Flemington to Volusia I'm glad I got to see a few wins. I'll miss him. Another hero gone. RIP 60 over.
