Looks like we have a strong group of drivers headed to Tulsa in January.
So far the definites are: 1. Steve Buckwalter- (410 Sprint & Midget driver) The Royersford Rocket is ready for a push after missing the a-main last year. 2. Ryan Smith (410 Sprint rookie & Midget driver) The Kunkletown Kid picked up a ride in the new Michael Heffner owned Midget for the last race of the season at Susquehanna, and they decided to team up for the Chili Bowl in 2013. Ryan missed qualifying last year by 1 spot, don't look past this hot shoe. 3. Trevor Kobylarz (ARDC Midget comeback driver of the year) Trevor had a breakout season in the 2012 season finishing 2nd in ARDC points and is ready to bounce back after having a few years of tough luck in Tulsa. 4. Alex Bright (ARDC Midget hot shoe) Alex had a very good year in ARDC competition winning a handful of times and then went to Austrialia to race down under in October. Alex runs strong no matter where he goes. 5. Brenden Bright (ARDC Midget young gun) Brenden also had a good year finishing top 5 in the points standings) 6. Bruce Buckwalter Jr (ARDC Midget driver & comedian) Bruce, or "BJ" is ready to make his first Chili Bowl a-main start. Bruce also had a solid year in ARDC competition. 7. Billy Pauch Jr (dabbles in the midgets when he is available) Billy Jr, son of legend 410 Sprint/Dirt Modified driver Billy Pauch Sr, is exciting to watch no matter what car, or track you put him in/on. Jr has quite a few ARDC victories to his credit driving the Shawn Burke owned #54 midget. He will be in the Larry Gardner #35 car. Look for Jr to make some noise come Chili Bowl time. 8. Shawn Jackson (ARDC Midget driver) Shawn Jackson has had his fair share of strong runs in ARDC competition. 9. PJ Garguilo (ARDC Midget veteran) PJ has been one of the strongest, most consistant drivers on the ARDC tour for quite some time. It wouldn't suprise me to see the #5 running well in Tulsa. Other possibilities that I haven't heard for sure include: "Slick" Nick Wean Jimmy Glenn Sorry for the long post, just can't wait to get to Tulsa for the first time!!! ![]() |
