What effect would a non-wing front axle have on a winged sprint on dirt. Would it make the car more stable on larger tracks?

A non wing axle is about 3" wider on the right front corner. About the only thing that would happen is it would tighten the rear up. Otherwise it would be like moving your rr tire in 3". With the wing designs, the air is pulling your car over to the left on entry into the corner, so much at times where in some photos you can see the right front off the ground a couple of inches. Therefore a wider front axle wouldn't matter.
I know of a MOWA driver in Illinois who runs both wing and nonwing, and he runs a 53" front axle all of the time, then when he runs a wing he puts. R" offset rr wheel on, and moves it out according to the track.
