grrob24, was you looking at the lines at the rest room or what to count your 100 people? It's sad you get on here and put a put-down post on an event you said you "drove by".

The car count was very good, and it was one of the best Wednesday night shows and crowds I've seen. I made the trip over from Dayton, OH drove to Anderson Speedway and stopped and enjoyed a fine evening of racing and some very nice weather.

Thank you to DK Promotions for keeping this Regional Series going. It's amazing the young and upcoming talent from all over the country that competes in these Wednesday night, well run events. :thumb

Well said Tom. I sat behind a gentleman who drove up from Owensboro, KY and he was late arriving due to the flooding in Southern Indiana. He was driving back again after the races so it was his destination not just a stopping point.

Our group was commenting on the number of people in the grandstands and we all agreed it was one of the best crowds for the traveling series. It is too bad more people don't attend to see the exciting racing that takes place. At $10 admisstion price, it is truely one of the best bargains out there.

why the sudden good car count? maybe the 400. Last time i was at a wed. night show they had 12 midgets, and didn't do much. A couple more shows like this and the fans will return. I might have to go back and give it another try.

Hey Mud Paker, sorry I missed you. Would have visited a minute if I'd have seen you.

I also by the way want to send a big "Thank You" to the staff there at Anderson. As many of you know I've been having some health problems and am on oxygen 24-7 now, so when I went in there was a member of the staff going by on a golf cart. I asked him if after practice and before the show got started if I could get a ride up to the rest rooms, as when I was there in April it was quite a struggle to walk up the hill. He smiled and said "Sure, be glad to."

Well, after they threw the white flag on the last practice session here he came, cruising along in front of the grandstand looking for me. He smiled and gave me a wave and gave me my ride.

I thought that was real nice of them, as busy as they are a lot of times to take the time to help out just 1 fan. I'll definately be back over there a few more times this season as my schedule permits.

Thank You to Anderson Speedway. :thumb

According to USAC schedule they should be at Mt. Lawn on the 25th. If you are going to that show PM me and I will look for you and visit a while. Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the show and also I will let Rick know about the staff member providing the "extra" service.

It might have looked OK from the stands but as a competitor, we've never been more disappointed in how a show was run in all of our years of racing. The passing points thing they use is a joke and if you ask anyone to explain it, they blow you off. Maybe it's just us, so we'll leave it at that!!!!
7 hours one way travel to race with a "Circus". Won't happen again for us!
