Vermilion county speedway is cancellling the friday night sprint shows.
The weather man and the economic devil has made us change our way of life!! We will try to reschedule some sprints along with our sunday night shows, after speedweeks maybe? Your best suggestions might be helpful, or if you have a spare $1,000,000 or you really wanted to be a promoter, now is the time. Give me a call Thanks phil

We ran your last sprint show and can understand your reasoning. There were more cars in the pits than people in the grandstand. You did a good job of running it off promptly... and you didn't cut the purse. That is appreciated! You were in a difficult position. Good luck, I hope you weather the storm, so to speak, and make some money.

Running a special show for sprints on Friday, once a month, when your regular racing program is on Sunday night is a difficult hat trick to pull off, especially with the current economic situation.

Phil, please don't give up on the sprints, as Bill Nelson proved last year by consistantly drawing over 40 sprint cars for his shows at VCS, the sprinters and fans will support VCS when done as a "special event" once a month on your regular night of racing.
