In what started as an already difficult evening at Tri-State Speedway due to the weather up north hindering our Indy cars efforts to make it to the track, the night became vastly more difficult when we learned a member of our extended family had been tragically killed on Friday.

30 year employee of Tri-State Speedway and employee of MSCS chief pit steward, Kevin Mason; and TSS & MSCS announcer Jason Adams lost a son-in-law and brother-in-law respectively Friday afternoon. http://www.14wfie.com/Global/story.a...av=menu54_11_3

Mike Cunningham was killed Friday afternoon while working. He leaves behind a wife, a 2 1/2 year old son and a 9 month old son.

This family spent yesterday morning making funeral arrangements but put aside their grief and honored Mike's memory by working the KISS/MSCS race at Haubstadt last night.

I'm certain the family would appreciate all your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

On behalf of my sister/nephews, my family and Mike's family I wanted to say Thank You to all of you who kept us in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult and unfortunate time. The toughest days are ahead of us but we will make it through this tragic time.

Also there is a fund set up for Mike and Emilee's sons, Dylan and Kayden at Regions Bank if anyone would like to donate for their schooling.
