Congratulations to Chad Boat who by winning tonight in Hagerstown, Maryland became the youngest ever winner of a USAC National Sprint Car event at the tender age of 16 years, 4 months, and 7 days old.

Congrats to Chad, Billy, Glenn and the rest of the Boat team.

Wasn't Clauson something like 16 years, 3 months, and 23 days when he won at Columbus? He was born in mid-June and won in early October. Just wondering...

Nevertheless, Chad's first win was memorable. Cole Whitt tried hard to hold his record from Big Diamond, but Chad was able to cross over a restart slide job and hold on for the win. It was a good race between two youngsters running a tough track - up on the rim which was not forgiving! Congrats to both on an outstanding show...

Kirk, once again...You are correct. I wish you and I would have determined that last night when we talked. It was 16.3.23 for Clauson, not 16.4.23 like I remembered. Geez...My memory is getting pretty shot. So, Clauson still holds the Midget and overall records, but Boat owns the Sprint Car record. Ugh...Just got home from PA, I'm going to bed.

And now he is winning USAC sprint car races! :checkered:
