Well he looked terrible at the PRELUDE!

And he missed his 2nd cup race of the year! What has happened to this wheel man?

I do not know what happened at the Prelude however on the cup side JJ is just like a Formula 1 test driver

Sure he is up there and making great money but he is not getting the best equiptment or respect from other teams. When he was with Gibbs and even now he has always been the Gibbs test driver for their R&D car

Just a quick note...I spoke to the Yeley's about his troubles at Eldora, and they said that J.J. had an intermitent problem in the feature in which the left front would lock up when turning right into the corner, causing a spin (I can't remember if it was due to a brake issue, or a wheel clearance problem, as I heard something similar about another competitor as well). Makes sense to me. I know the kid hasn't forgotten that much about driving on dirt.

Also, word around the Yeley campfire is that they may be building their own late model for future Preludes, as well as any other event J.J. may want to run.

Its hard to watch JJ struggle, I've been a JJ fan since Duquoin in like 98. I was like 9 and I remember him goin out to Qualify the silver crown car it was his out lap and he drove down into 3 entirely to hard the car started slidin and slidin I thought he was gonna knock the wall down, he got the car pitched and never let out the rest of the corner bout 6 inches from the wall. I ve been a fan ever since.

I talked to Kevin Besecker last night in the pits at Bloomington, he said if he gets back into racing, he will be in a Late Model. I think its strange all of these Cup teams are either building Late Models or buying teams

Bobby Labonte/Earl Pearson Jr
Clint Bowyer/Shannon Babb
David Stremme/Randy Weaver
Schrader has one
Wallace has one
Stewart has one
Newman has one

They dont forget their roots

He has had FINE equipment and has had a chance, it's tiring to see people not be able to realize that after being with the top organization out their for 2 years and a satellite of that, that he has not had a fair shot.

Bobby may not have been running good in the 18 car before JJ got there, but is he running any better now? I'd say it's driver for that.

Tony Raines solidly had the 96 car in the top 25 in points last year and JJ can't even do top 35. I'm sure someone will find the lame excuse of saying it's Toyota's fault since their always seems to be an excuse for JJ on here. But it's not Toyota, they're leading the manufacturers standings in all 3 of Nascar's top series.

After JJ was dropped from the 18 car Kyle gets in and dominates and races the 18 car like it was being raced back in 2000 when Bobby won the championship.

I'm not pointing at any one person, but it's tiring to see people not being able to realize that he has had as fair of a shot as the next best guy. One last thing, we've seen it before, where a driver has done so well in one series, but once they get to Cup, they just don't run better then 25th (and we've also seen guys who can dominate cup but weren't all great before that).

If you think the car is the same this year as it was last year then you are mistaken all you have to do is look at the budgets, JJ had interstsate for the entire season this year Interstate has rasied their sponsorship plus they have taken the sponsorship from M&M's and snickers which were part time sponsors on other cars.

JJ is not the greatest Cup driver and average in the field but his 18 and the current 18 are not the same car
