I-69 road construction questions

Coming from the south, I have two questions about I-69, the road not the speedway.
1. Is that mind numbing traffic slowdown still in force? Or is it 4 lanes again? The INDOT site isn't a lot of help. 2. If it's still down to one lane going north, what is a viable alternative? I can scoot over to State Road 9 or 3, but am always in the market for a shortcut. Thanks P.S. Aiming for Gas City tomorrow night.

I've only had trouble with a traffic backup on Labor Day weekend. I leave straight from work at 3:30 and last week I rocked up there at 4:50.
Your retired though, you've got all day to get there ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Thanks, all. Right now the plans are to bring Jackslash's little buddy with me up north. We plan to leave soon enough for him to hit the pits in search of a ride for the night. He's tired of pretending to be TMez or Coleman and wants to be himself. Maybe a coincidence (though I don't believe in them), but the first names of the first two respondents are essentially the same as my two children, even though my daughter spells it a bit differently. The Cowboy reminds me of a funny Marv Fish/Dave Rudisell/Gas City story. A few years ago Dave apparently called Marv to ask if he wanted to ride up to Gas City; Dave would drive. Marv said, sure thing. Dave asked, when do you want to leave? Marv said, hell, we can leave right now if you want; I'm retired, remember? ![]() Thanks all for the valuable information.

Sounds like a plan for your driver...I'd suggest hiring Cale Coons to spin the wrenches and this could be a potent combo for a feature victory!!
