I have been chasing the history of an old (probably early 80's) Shores sprint car. Latest info I received is,it was purcased in Kokomo Indiana .Names are not remembered who from but was believed to be a pretty well known driver and/or owner at the time....the car was heading to Mansfield,Ohio. The buyer did remember having to go down a dirt road to get to where the car was and while looking it over, a severe snowstorm cropped up.Just hoping the right eyes may see this and ring a bell.....thanks, rc

Does anyone from Kokomo remember having a Shores car around 1979-81?

Bob Frey drove a Shores car for someone in northern Indiana I think about that time. A red car.

Jim Lipkey had a shop close to downtown, not sure if he sold a Shores or not. I will ask around.

Thanks Jerry, if you could find that out I would sure appreciate it! I know its a long shot, but I'd sure like to see where this car originated.

Is it just the frame or tail tank, lettering, paint, etc.?

It was purchased as a complete car including engine back then.... the buyer just couldn't give me any further details.....its gone through 3 different owner/drivers since the one i'm looking for so the body isn't original...I'm looking for the owner who sold it to Mr.Prosser from Mansfield Ohio...

That wouldn't be Roy Prosser, or a relative of his would it? Thanks! Bob
