EDWARDS GRABS FIVE GRAND AND MUST SEE WIN AT AUTO CITY

Clio, MI - August 24, 2012 - Kyle Edwards took advantage of a lap 37 restart to take the lead and never looked back in the 40 lap BIOBASED.US Must See Racing Super Modified Series (MSRSMS) feature event at Auto City Speedway near Flint,MI Friday night.

The MSRSMS debuted this past May 20 at Winchester, IN Speedway and Friday's Auto City event was only the second event in the short history of the series. The new series steadily continues to grow as evidence of Friday's event.

Mike McVetta picked up quick time with a lap of 13.529 seconds and an additional $500 thanks to BIOBASED.US and Don Wilshe. Heat races were won by Dave McKnight Jr., Jon Henes, and Matt Marlowe.

The front row for the 40 lap feature saw Jack Smith on the pole alongside Kevin Shirey. Smith was able to get the jump at the green and lead the first nine circuits before a hard charging Charlie Shultz wrestled the lead from Smith with a turn three pass of Smith and a lapped car in one lightning quick pass. It appeared the race was in Shultz's hands as he began to build a sizeable lead over the remainder of the event. A lap 37 caution bunched the field up with Kyle Edwards now in second place. When the green flag waved, Edwards dove low coming off of turn four and beat Shultz into turn one to assume the point and the lead. Edwards would lead the final three laps to claim the Auto City victory and a $5000 payday thanks to the ' BIOBASED.US Winners Circle Bonus '.

In victory lane Edwards talked about the lap 37 restart. " We was on it " explained Edwards. " His car just got too free on him and I got a good run on the inside. We capitalized on it. It was a good clean race. I think this series is growing. A lot of competitive cars here tonight. I'm real proud to win this Auto City race " concluded Edwards.

The MSRSMS will now be idle until the series finale at Anderson, IN Speedway October 6 with the ' Must See Racing Twin 50's '.
