Finally a nonwing race here

Sept. 2 PennCan our local track is having they're small car classic race. They decided to run the 600 micro's wingless this year. I think a great decision, hopefully everyone will like what they see. I'm hoping that next year I can have them talked into running minisprints also. They now have slingshot's, xcel 600 mods, 270 winged and 600 nonwinged.

its a damn shame that they scheduled it on top of the $1000 to win show at lanco that weekend....then decided to take the wings off.

I dont know whats going on being I dont follow any of those cars. The nonwing 600's I like. I'm not sure if Hamlin is running, if not they should draw cars from there. Hamlin is a nice little place and they run nonwing 600's and a rookie 600 nonwing class, which by the way every track should have a rookie class. Its good racing, and you dont need a huge wallet. Bottom line is it's a damn shame the entire state of racing in these parts. Minisprints are pretty much history, definitely so when it comes to nonwing. Probley nobody at the local track even knows that Sprintcars aint suppossed to have wings and a midget is one of them tiny folks that you throw for money. To me theres only three cars that matter at all, minisprints, midgets and Sprintcars. Not one of any of the above within hundreds of miles of here

we have run at hamlin since the night they opened with karts.....and continue to do so with our 600s....not weekly but a few times a year. our main deal was kutztown on wendsdays, toss in a few money races here and there and take the midget out from time to time.
we wanted to run lanco and penn can for the end of season shows but since we live about 1/2 way to each, the decision to go to lanco took no effort.
but....if someone was to start a non wing sprint class with a 100 miles of us....we would be changing classes REAL quick!
