Hope you got deep pockets, a friend of mine just spent $1400.00 on a 1/4 midget,at someplace down in Tenn. This stuff is no longer EPA approved and when you follow all those regs price goes up.

Steve, I just googled "chrome plating Indianapolis, and it came up with 22 listed chrome shops, it's been a long while since I had anything plated, and I thought it was high then, but there are ways around the cost, I'd google for a location near you, and see what you find, cause you're going to have to either take them the pcs, or send them to them, in order to get a quote, the big cost is getting the parts ready to plate, you can save money by getting the pieces apart, and cleaned, not blasted, but cleaned, then let them do the rest, nuts and bolts, I learned a long time ago, really run up the cost, the big parts are easier to get ready, and you might want to look at nickle, instead of chrome, hard to tell the difference, except in your wallet! I would give John Godfrey a call and see who does his, The stanless nerf bar deal came about because of high chrome costs. When you do send parts off take a pic of each part and catalog it for both you and the plater, things tend to get lost

Yes, the shop that does my car now, and some of the other IL guys, now does awesome work, but its not close enough.

This car will be on display at the upcoming Springfield Speedway reunion Oct 27. There will be plenty of pictures and film of this car there, and though it is still in the same condition as it was last run in 1977, I just wanted to tweak some of the aged chrome, especially on the roll cage, bumpers and nerf bars.

Thanks for the input so far.

Has anyone had experience with Williamson in Indy?
