Moto 2 of the 450 motos from Unadilla is about to start on either cbs or nbc, i forget which. It will be fast, it's the most fun track i ever rode. Check it out.

Unadilla was the best atmosphere, when i raced there it was 100% natural and reminded me of riding out in the back yard, except you were on the most revered mx track in the world. The rock roost would tear off your visors. I loved Hurricaine hills in Clifford PA. So much fun not real fast with a supercross section thrown in. Great family atmosphere, 300-500 entrys most weeks and I did good there. My son was two days old when he "saw" me race for the first time. I raced two classes which looking back was a mistake, but I also won all four motos. The mistake in being I hung it out so hard cause of my new baby in the pits that I was hurt, never crashed, just hurt myself I'm not sure what exactly but i felt like dying for a month afterwards, worth all thirty days of the pain for the feeling I get looking back now. Back then me and him lived in a little bike shed behind my dads literally amongst the race bikes. Yeah Hurricaine Hills great place. he put so much wood chips in the dirt that it was crazy loamy, and when your hooked up and railing on a mx bike few things are better. I won a NY state vet mx championship at Broome-Tioga, For pure scary speed that track was fun to ride. Combined natural terrain with huge jumps thrown in, unbeleivably fast downhills. Thats what seperates the men from the boys, anyone can charge up a hill, charging down is where you win the race. That and the starts, 40 across, my most favorite part of the race. Get a decent jump on the gate and ball it out so that your bike is the last one you hear excellerating, if you can hook a berm make it throught the first corner which can hold four guys, race on. Hit a Huge downhill dropaway probley 150' jump, more than once I woke up at the bottom wondering what happened, from first to scrambled egg's. I've never riden faster anywhere or crashed harder anywhere else then Broome-Tioga not even in speedway. I know one thing, when i raced moto I always limped and could barely lift my hands over my shoulder. Were giving it one more shot this spring, I'm racing in the plus 50 class exclusively at Hurricaine hills. I cant wait to hopefully win a moto or two.

I give you props for racing +50. I'm 33 and I'm a beat up mess from 10 yrs of MX. I made all the way to 125 and 250A for a short bit before massive injury. The hardest track I've ever raced was Branson USA. It was an all natural grass track that got so freaking rough that it litterlly beat the crap out of me. Now I know this is a sprint car forum but MX and sprint cars takes a different bread of people to race. I absolutely love them both
