I am a very strong advocate of supermodified racing. On August 24 MustSee is racing at Auto City and ISMA is racing at Sandusky. I am very confused as to the rationale of two supermodified shows in such close proximity on the same date. Can anyone help clear my state of confusion?

Two separate series. ISMA pretty much keeps the same schedule from year to year, so if there's a conflict it would be with MSR. Non ISMA teams can chose which event they want to run. I'm hoping they both do well. The weather here is going to be iffy again this weekend. I hope that ISMA get's their races in.

You might check that again. The original ISMA schedule (See ISMA schedule announcement below) had only the Saturday night August 25th date at Berlin Speedway in Marne, MI. Last year they were scheduled for only Berlin as well and if memory serves me correctly, it was rained out.

A long haul for the racers of ISMA to Berlin for a stand alone show. I can understand ISMA trying to schedule something along the way to help with expenses for all of the travel owners, drivers and crews.

The addition of Sandusky Speedway on that Friday night has happened in the past 30 days. It probably was finalized during the Hy-Miler weelend. So it wasn't MSR that scheduled against ISMA but the other way around. Just as a side note, the Must See Sprints are running in conjunction with ISMA at Berlin on that Saturday night.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
