WOW!!!!!!! For only your third sprint car race, that is pretty impressive. Some pretty big names that didn't make the cut on this one.

Wow, Chris, you are making a bunch of us feel old bringing back memories. I first felt bad seeing that I was a alternate until I looked down the list of all the good names that some are still todays top drivers in the country as well as back then. Thanks for the memories and keep up the good work.

That was a great day as only 4 weeks before the race I talked to Mike Miles about having it. We promoted it on our TV show and the fans and cars showed up. A large line of fans were waiting in line to buy tickets over 2 hours before the gates opened.
How about I think it was the last time Bob Kinser and Dick Gaines raced together.
Special thanks to the Earlywine family for most of the sponsorship of the event along with the others.
It was truly a build it and they will come.
Maybe a 20 year Racin-Fest might be in order some where ???

Thanks to all that made that day happen.

I know somewhere in do's old footage there is hero and hot dog quals. Watching that still give me chills. I remember tony elliot winning I think KT was second and I know I was third and we all got paid. If I am correct tony took home around 1400
