Any news on the track? I know they are trying very hard to bring the place back to life. Are they going to be able to bring midgets and sprint cars any time soon? I know Don is working on the midgets, is there anything going for a Saturday night with the sprint cars?

Tim if you are lurking give us an update.

I went again last night, and it was another great effort by Tim and his crew. They received 3-4 inches of rain the night before and had to pump out a lake in all of turns three and four. The track was very fast with a couple rough spots they need to work out (maybe caused from the rain they receive the night before each race). They grated it out before the features to perfection, but became rough again by the last feature. With what is going on out there, they must be working from sun up to sun down all week.

Jamie Frederickson had his sprint car on display and they announced several times they planned to run some sprint shows.

Again, half price food for drivers and crew after the races.

I sent an e-mail to the POWRi guys asking them to get in contact with the promoter.

I mentioned to one of the track officials that this Saturday, June 7 might be a good night to have a sprint car race there. No non-wing sprints at Waynesfield, Lawrenceburg, or Twin Cities, and the Dream is at Eldora so a lot of the regular late model fans will go there. Plus it is the McDonlads House Charity night, so it would be nice to have sprints and try to draw sprint car fans to the track. More people in the stands will mean more money to the charity. I don't think Tim would schedule it less than a week before though, and they already planned to pay the thundercars more.

The plan is to get them on the track this summer.

Thanks to Brian for the kind remarks. The Tygart friends and family have a lot of time invested in the track.
