Severe Weather in and around Indy

My thoughts and prayers are with anyone who may have received damage from the severe storms that cut across the states of Illinois, Indiana and Ohio last night and early this morning.
My folks were in Greenfield, IN at the Heartland Campground. They report a lot of damage in and around that area. My Dad, being 77 years old, said that was one of the worst storms he has ever been in. Again, please keep our fellow IOW family in your thoughts and prayers. |

Yes they were indeed very bad. I dont know if I have ever been in anything worse.
Was on County Line Rd between Marion and Johnson counties on the southside of Indy driving home from Bloomington and just as I was passing it lightning struck a transformer on the side of the road and it blew up...sparks everywhere, was like a bomb. Brightest light I had ever seen as I passed under it literally one second afterward. Was worried about the power lines falling so needless to say I stepped on it although I couldnt see where I was going because of the rain. Hope everyone made it home ok |

Kokomo had just shy of three inches of rain before the thing moved out. Tornado's just south of town, high winds and a lot of lightning. Frankfort and places along 26 was one of the paths the storm took, also just to the north of town was some pretty wild weather. I laid down at the start of it and slept thru all of the excitement. Got to work just in time for the light show and more heavy rain. I hope everybody made it thru ok.
