Just going by memory, but there was a USAC pole day sprint race at IRP for several years. I have program(s) somewhere from it in all my disorganized racing stuff.

I meant that they should always have a race on that date, not that they have never done it in the past. Sorry if not clear.
In my Opinion(an yes this is just MY opinion) but a USAC hall of fame race should be held on dirt. Most guys inducted (if im not mistaken) had not ran sprint cars on asphalt. I could be wrong though, have been once or twice...lol
