Open wheel racing in back in Northern Indiana on Saturday night May 5. Drove pass Plymouth Speedway and saw they are putting up more lights to light up the Bullring. Can't wait to see Sprint Car racing up here on Saturday Nights. I spoke to one of the workers there and he told me that Jeff Walker with Dave Darland is planning on coming up to support the track. Also heard Steve Stapp was going to be the Grand Marshall for this event. Check out www.plymouthspeedway.net for times. Looks like they are having a pit party for the fans before the races begins. Way Cool!!

I think you have posted about this before, no? But it is still cool.
Saw them working on the Bullring the other night. They are watering it from the outside of the dirt track. Heard they may be doing so testing with Shane Stewart in Gaerte's car this weekend. Anybody hear that? Hope everyone supports Plymouth, nice to have a dirt track back in northern Indiana on Saturday nights.

Actually yes. As someone who grew up at Warsaw and Avilla speedways as a kid, Gas City and Kokomo are not northern tracks to many up that way. There has been a big void up there since those two tracks closed. There are many race fans up there that stopped going to dirt tracks all together because there isn't anything close enough for them. Some fans will travel far and some won't travel much at all, but like to go. You can get them back into it with a “home” track once again. I haven’t lived up that way in about 20 years, but I’ll be hitting it at some point this year.
So we can confirm 2 drivers so far in Dave Darland and Jerry Spencer.
Who else can we confirm at this point that will be at Plymouth Speedway "The Bull Ring" Dirt Track on Saturday May 5th?
Hopefully there is a good field of UMP Modifieds there as well with Shadyhill Speedway about 30 or so miles away opening their 2012 season the same night.
