From the Action Track website......ticket prices, start time (racing at 6 p.m.) so I am assuming hot laps at 5 p.m. for the April 22nd MSCS/KISS race. Note that coolers are now allowed in the infield only.

Well I sure hope that the concession food is better than it was since we cant bring coolers in the stands. Worst track burger I have ever had. Can't wait till the 22nd!

You cant manage to walk out to the car to get something during a break in the action?

In 40 yrs. of attending races at the 'Hut' I've never seen a time that I couldn't bring a cooler into the grandstands. If that rule was in place I wasn't at that race. I remember sometimes no alcohol, but I could still bring a cooler in. Who came up with this rule? My pension and gas prices don't afford me the luxury of attending all the races I'd like to go to. There are times that bringing my own food and soda is the only way I can swing it. Especially if you have kids along the concession $$$ run up real quick. Part of my hip was removed and fused into my spinal column 15 yrs. ago, so standing all night in the infield is not an option.

I heard the same people that run Kokomo are running Terre Haute this year? If so this probably explains it. I've heard these are NOT cooler friendly people....Any bashers out there want to say - "scr*w you and stay home if you can't afford it" - can save your breath, I'll probably have to do just that. If you are fortunate enough to always have an extra $100 of fun money in your pocket I am happy for you. Some have to brown bag, pitch tents, and save our 'surplus' money to pay bills.

Well, it is what it is....I only posted the cooler notice to make people aware of this new policy. I would much rather have a no cooler rule if that is what it takes to have a well prepared, well run Action Track...another couple of suggestions are...take a lawn chair to the infield or eat before you go. The alternative might have been no racing at all.

I usually go to my vehicle to eat in between the action. You should have plenty of time to go back and forth. Don't let a cooler rule keep you from the best track in the country!

I just noticed that also...well this race is 2 weeks away so I am sure we will know what the policy is before then.

I'm more concerned about the 5:00 start time. I knew they would do this to accomdate the support class. Five o'clock is really 4 o'clock in Illinois which is practically where the track is. Good luck with track prep running in mid-after noon.
