Saturday night, May 17th the A.M.S.A. pulled into Twin Cities Speedway with 16 cars.
In Heat 1, Boyd Wolff won 1st, Nathan Mensendick ran 2nd and J.R. Douglas came in 3rd.
Then, in Heat 2, Luke Wolff won 1st, Dustin Hueston ran 2nd and Don Burr came in 3rd.
In the feature we had several spin outs that brought out the yellow flag. After restarting, in turn 4 car # 24 (driven by Ray Gregory) appeared as if something broke on his car causing him to hit the wall very hard and flipping him. This brought out the red flag and all cars came to a standstill. Gregory was just shaken up but his car was unable to continue.
After the restart, Dustin Hueston ran away from the pack, giving him his 1st win of the season. J.R. Douglas ran a good race coming in 2nd with Scott Fasse on his tail pulling in 3rd place.
Our next race will be at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood, IN on May 30th and Saturday, May 31st at Twin Cities. This is our GRASS ROOTS REVIVAL and we will be crowning a winner in each division, A.M.S. A. and UMRA. We hope to see you all there.
Have a FUN & SAFE Memorial Weekend. - Jerry & Mert
