Ed Esser, America's #1 Race Fan, passed away on March 1, 2012. Ed won NSSN's Super Fan Contest for several years in a row before starting his trek to become the fan who visited the most race tracks in the world. He would have become #1 in that too had his life not ended so soon. Rest in Peace, Ed. You will be missed by many. The full obituary is below.

I knew Ed for 25 years. He sat behind me for years at
Angell Park. Racing at Angell Park will not be the same
without seeing & visiting with him. He was a great friend.
RIP Ed.
Best Regards,
John

The Angell Park opener is coming up soon. May 27th. It will be a
tough day not to see Ed Esser sitting behind me in the small
grandstand. Ed was a awesome friend!
Best Regards,
John
