Another Track Shuttered!

In looking through track websites, I noticed another track that won't be opening this spring. I realize that this isn't an open wheel track, however it still hurts just the same. Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, KY will not open the oval track for racing in 2012. Loyal racers and fans will now have to find another venue to visit for their racing action.

I didn't even know they had a oval. I know Dallas and his wife operate a very successful drag strip, Amusement Park and Campground. Is this on the same property? If so. Very nice people.

We were going to attend a race there back in 2009 but it got rained out. From a photo on the website, it looks like the oval track is adjacent to the drag strip. I have heard good reviews about the facility and hope that they can reopen the oval track in time.
