This track was only about 4 years old, running sprint cars only a few times a year, but 600 mini sprints pretty often. Chris Windom probably won't miss it, he got hurt here leading an IL Sprint Week race in 09. lol.

"Shepp's Speedway would like to take this time to thank all the drivers and fans that have shown their support since we have built and opened the racetrack....we have decided to close the track permantly. The location will now be Sheppard Auto Sales and Salvage, as we have sold the property that this business has occupied for many years!"

Never attended a race there, but it is always sad to see a speedway close. Seldom do they get replaced.
