Any changes for Lincoln park in 2012?

Well it's a new year, so I was just wondering if any big changes were coming to LPS.
I have a bit of a wish list I'd like to see happen.
1. Move the front stretch wall back to the stands. Get rid of that grassy area. This would keep guys from diamonding 4 and creating a giant ledge that launches you straight in the wall.

2. Raise the payoff from 2nd through 15th. The payoff to start and to win each class is pretty good and about the same or better than other tracks. But 19 guys don't win each night. So by only raising what it pays to win only one person benefits. If it paid more in the middle then 19 people would have more money to come back next week instead of just 1.

3. I'm pretty sure this is already gonna happen, but they definelty need raceceivers. Need to stop making hundreds of laps under caution trying to get in line.

4. It would be a longshot but it would be great if they could install the stuff to use transponders. Then everyone could qualify while they hot laps. It would also help the scorers.

5. Lastly please post payout for weekly shows and specials on website for everyone to see, that way a blue million people don't ask on here and other sites.

You know what, Spiker basically took a track out of the trash can, invested a ton of his own money in making improvements and has turned it into one of the most successful weekly programs in the state. What he's doing is working. The car counts are big, the racing is great and he's earned the right to run the place as he sees fit. If you don't like the way he runs the track, it's a free country. You can always go run someplace else.

Jerry I think you took the post the wrong way. It's just simply a wish list, like a kid would give his parents for Christmas. I didn't mean for anything to sound negative. The only bad thing I said was no need to make hundreds of caution laps, and anyone whose raced there knows it needs help. I went to Lps almost every week last year and know its a great place to go, but a guy can always talk with his buddies about things he'd like to see happen.

My preference is to qualify but that probably won't happen so I'd like to see passing points awarded from the heat races and those points lineup feature rather than a straight up heat race finish.

I like the system the USMTS uses for passing points.

I think it gives a guy starting in the back of a heat race, who races his butt off just to get a transfer spot a better chance to improve a starting spot for the feature.

As a driver I would like the passing points too, but it's just too complicated for fans to understand. Fans need to be able to think "well he finished here so that means he made the show". Having transfer spots also let's fans enjoy heat race battles for last transfer spot.

Too complicated? I thought an announcers job was to inform the fans.

I guess that would work at Lps, announcer does a good job. And they could also pass out a points system sheet to the fans like the one on the usmts site.

You would think that would be the case. However, they offer more misiformation at times than they do information.

Mike, I know what your saying but my thoughts are if your not doing a good job, then you don't have a job.
