Haven't heard any changes to the tire rule. Payout should be 5000 to win and 500 to start, with at least 100 tow money for anyone that misses the show. Call the USAC Office, to make sure on things at, 317-247-5151.

From what was said at the IMIS show, starting at Ocala, USAC sprint car division will utilize the Hoosier HT-2. It will be an 18" wide tire. According to the purple shirts, in their booth, the tire will not be for sale until early Feb. I also was told that they made their last DT3's several months ago. They said all of our regional non-wing tracks and the MSCS will allow both tires to run thru 2012.

Big mistake if that is true about an 18" tire. Why not go to the 16" tire that ASCS runs. Making the RR smaller will loosen up the cars instead of just getting a bigger RR to grab the track. If it is a new tire sure it will cost more.

I guess this is the first I have heard about this. You would have thought USAC and Hoosier would have put out some press releases about the topic if they are going to inforce it in Florida.

It is a 105/18 tire. Little softer compound than the DT-3 was. Look for it to cost 'around' $207.00

Yeah, lets make the tire softer so guys will have to buy more of them. Of course seeing it is Hoosier all the high dollar guys are getting their tires on deals and the working class racer is paying full price and funding all the high dollar teams.
