If all the drivers in NAPCAR wanted to win as much as Kyle & Tony, maybe NAPCAR would be worth watching again..

Wow if you support what Kyle did and think Tony is in the same league you must be a heck of a race fan.. I dont mind the after race drama but i have never seen anything like this happen to a championship contender. I wish someone would not a couple of Bushes teeth out after that deal Saturday night. Im really surprised Hornaday wasnt a little more vocal about what a Dick Kyle is.

Nope , not a fan of that either...and Tony is sure not in that style of racing..But both of these guys want to win every race they are in.and not just be a part of the big NAPCAR parade..No wonder there are so many empty seats at the parades anymore....Only a very few really want to win..most just want to get the pay checks and go back in the motorhomes.

It sounds like that is your premise! ![]() Nothing could be further from the truth! Personalities and public behavior DO NOT measure INTENSITY and DESIRE to win! ![]() Even Tony, with all of his talent, used to react emotionally and immaturely for what happend on the track or even through the media. And that hurt his racing as much as it helped. Fortunately, he has matured and his on and off the track behavior is better for the change. ![]() Kyle is still driving a little further over that edge and cannot maintain a balance with integrity. Hopefully he will change without losing that ability to drive on the edge. Kyle is possibly the most talented race car driver, in any series, to come along in the last decade. It remains to be seen if he can handle that talent and the pressure that goes along with it! ![]() |

I too, wonder why people think that drivers, or sports figures in general, need to act and talk in an immature, disrespectful way to to be passionate about their particular endeavor.
I was a fan of Terry Labonte for his whole NASCAR career and the thing I admired about him the most was that no matter the situation he handled things with class and dignity. He had a zest for winning unsurpassed by any driver before or since. The way he handled himself after the most blatant cheap shot at Bristol in 1999 was nothing short of amazing. And believe me, he wasn't afraid of Earnhardt. And those who would believe that Tony Stewart is in no way part of the same category as Busch need only harken back to the intentional wrecking of Matt Kenneth in the middle stages of the Daytona 500 several years ago. Or, just this past summer at Sonoma, CA when he intentionally took Brian Vickers out, and admitted as much. Now, I'm no Stewart hater but he did what he did.
