New sprint car book

Just wanted to let everyone know that my newest book "Sprint Car Salvation" will be published in November. This is my first novel, based on the origins of the "Best of Times" series which appears in Sprint Car & Midget. A great number of people over the past few years have urged me to produce a book about "Jimmy's story" so I'm hoping this project will be successful.

If you're a "Best of Times" reader, you'll recognize the characters and some of the plot elements from the first year or so of the series. I originally figured I'd just drop the existing text into a book layout, but I quickly discovered that the book flows very differently than a monthly serial, and did extensive rewriting and additions to improve the end product.

If you're not a "Best of Times" reader, I hope you'll give this book a try anyway. If you enjoy sprint car and midget racing, I think you'll enjoy this story.

Dave, Great timing, I'm having knee replacement surgery Nov. 17 so I need a new book to read. I just put my order in so I'll be waiting to start reading.

Sitting here looking out the window and the weather is a reminder of what is coming.

Cold dark, dreary, and that awful white stuff.

Looking forward to another Argabright classic to brighten up the days ahead. I always enjoy reading anything that you write. Hope to see you down the road at the races.

I'm anxious to get this book out there because it's different than any book I've done. Writing the "Best of Times" series has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my career, and it feels great when SCM readers tell us they enjoy reading about Jimmy.
