Was up there Tuesday; arrived at a little after noon EDT; not much of a delay going east; left at around 3:00PM EDT, (going westbound) not really much of a delay at all. The eastbound traffic was backed up pretty severely at that time. I just followed the detour signs and drove sensibly.

The only real bad time is morning and afternoon drive time(that's why I'm doing this at 7:20 am) sitting at work with nothing to do. Weekends won't be too bad.

You should be fine going on a Sunday. The only times it gets really backed up is during standard work commute hours.
Even then, if you stay in the left hand lane and stay on 65 past the bridge the traffic tends to keep moving. The main congestion is with cars trying to merge onto I-64 at the end of the bridge. |
