Ron Shuman Grand Marshal of The Hall of Fame Classic

Kevin Montgomery PEORIA, Ariz. (October 13th, 2011) – Tempe, Arizona’s, Ron Shuman, will be honored as Grand Marshal for the ParkerStore Hall of Fame Classic at Canyon Speedway. The Hall of Fame Classic, a raced named for celebrating Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame members as well as induction ceremonies for new members, will take place at the Peoria, Arizona facility in just a few short weeks on October 28th and 29th.

Shuman earned is place in the Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame as well as the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame after a storied career spanning more than 30 years. The four-time Western World winner has earned several championships in both CRA and SCRA Sprint Cars, accumulated victories with USAC and the World of Outlaws among earning a record 8 Turkey Night Grand Prix Midget wins that will secure him a spot in the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 2012.

Shuman will be among several Arizona racing legends schedule to sign autographs at the upcoming Hall of Fame Classic including Lealand McSpadden along with Billy Boat, Terry Belcher Jr. and many more Arizona racing legends as Windy McDonald inducts five new members in to the Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame Classic, presented by The ParkerStore, found a home at the Peoria, Arizona race track in 2010 and has quickly become one of the marquee events of the 30 year old facility. The combination of the National USAC Sprint Cars and the tradition of the Parker Store Hall of Fame Classic will likely make for a formidable West Coast Sprint Car event.

The Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame was founded in 1986 when the first 10 members were inducted. Since its inception, more than 80 new members have been elected to the elite group that is occupied with a rich racing heritage, one that is abundant with tradition and prestige. The members list is impressive and each of them has made a considerable impact on racing across the country.

Hey Kevin.....is there a website for the Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame? How can I find the list of people currently inducted?

Ronnie Shuman!!...What a Special Honor!!...for one of Arizonia's/Country's Greatest Midget/Sprint Car Racers of all time!!...everyone that can,should come out in support of this Special Event at Canyon Speedway Park!!...quite possibly, just mite be one of the Loudest Standing Ovation's in tracks history, for "The Fly'n Shoe"!!..........
