I know the moniker "innovator" is overused, but this man truly was one. The iPod literally changed the way we have recorded material (music, audiobooks, video, etc.) available to us. The iPhone and Macintosh set a new standard in their respective genres. They made those Worlds better. Personally, my primary home computers for the last 20 years have all been Apples and I wouldn't consider anything else. The World lost a businessman in the same mold as Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford and Sam Walton. He will be missed and will be very hard to replace.

R.I.P.

“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”

Truly a great loss. I grew up outside Detroit at racetracks, see the GM world headquarters every morning, am employed indirectly through the brilliance of Henry Ford and have been my whole working life.

Yet this seems to be one of those moments I will remember. The fact I'm on a computer all day at work, shooting photos all weekend, and using the web whenever I want to. Steve Jobs influenced all of that.

Truly a great loss.

There are not many people in the history of the world, that have made such an impact on everyday life, that when they are gone, the entire world will know of, and be saddened by their passing.

His legacy will last a very long long time.

Rest in peace Steve Jobs.
