Well, in an effort to avoid having to answer the question "where is your car" (all should know I am not vain enough to assume everyone cares); under the current circumstances and at this moment my "midget racing career" is all but done. I am just not in the position (by many "means" of the definition) to continue in the owner/driver/crew chief capacity. It was a challenge enough at the rare times I managed decent equipment, but now (as all I have is more than beyond it's expected operating life) I just do not feel that I can overcome these shortcomings.

The most recent flip in turn one at Sun Prairie this spring was the straw to break the camel's back as far as national midget racing was concerned (running junk basically bit me the last three times we were there) and Saturday night's rear-end destruction at Wilmot all but ended my restricted IRS midget aspirations (as now I really do not even have anything to even roll the car around a track). I am not confident and quick enough to handle everything this sport throws at one; and would need increased and continued help on all levels (from decision making, very great financial support, dedicated crew, etc.) to continue. We flirted with various levels of assistance in some of the needed areas over approx. the last year, but in the end; I have been left in this current position.

Due to some of those mentioned options and thanks to other offers, we have been focusing on championship efforts in different racing divisions (mostly at the local Rockford Speedway). Very much look forward to continuing down these paths. However, I imagine until I am in an incapacitated state, I may consider almost any opportunity to get back into restricted and/or national midget racing; up to an including maybe even me not trying to do the driving part...

Meanwhile, I am thankful for the assistance many have offered over the years. Of recent, my dad did put in a lot of hours prepping for Wilmot. Justin Lindemann, Dwight Stefan, and Tom Dull were still dedicated "crewmembers" (mostly at the track anyway). My mother Terri Dull and GF Nichole Crane have extended efforts above and beyond what may be considered normal. Many others have assisted behind the scenes and over the years (wish I could list everyone). Although (maybe contrary to the thoughts of some) there were some highlights at times (I will insert here very much thanks to Jake Slotten for crewing us to what I feel was our most successful night under last year's APSARA era at Angell Park Speedway), it was my failure to not capitalize more on from what I did receive. This is not a plea to continue to drain from those that have made extensions, but more of an informational update. Thank-you.
