We were at Eldora for the WoO race a few weeks back and they were handing out questionaires on what type of car the fans would like to see race for a million....Non wing, wing or late models. Its been a while since they have had a race with money like this on the line... Any one know when this could happen or if it even will? just curious..

I would much rather see twenty races at fifty thousand each....Donnie Moran was the big Dog last go around. Fifty races at twenty G's would make me smile but if Tony does a Million you can bet it will be a three or four day mud taxi extravangza.

I personally would love to see a million dollar race with nonwings or late models. Nonwings would be really awesome but yet again late models would bring a lot more cars and put on a better show at Eldora. Nonwings are just better on shorter tracks.

Earl did a million dollar deal with the non-winged sprinters but it didn't pay a million to win. They called it the Mopar Million and I believe Russ Gamester led quite a few laps and Jack Haudenschild ended up winning it. I was in the grandstands for it but don't remember how the payout went down.

I do remember that the non-wingers putting on one hell of a show at Eldora for the Mopar Million deal.

The mud taxis have done the million to win deal and I believe Stewart should race another genre of cars if he'd gonna' do a million to win. JMO.

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.

Non wing has been done yes. But no doors for me please. Tony has been running with the wing some. Think he would try to win his own money? Or maybe send Newman after it?

First place paid $250,000 and the rest of the run down I am not sure about. I want to say it paid $10,000 to start.

First paid $200K, 125 for 2nd and 100 for 3rd. It was the highest paying sprint car race ever. Haud won followed by Stevie Smith, Dickie, JJ, and Rob Chaney. Russ did lead the first lap(he started on the front row) but quikly fell. I would love to see another race like this go down. What a weekend that was. Whoooo Racing!!!!!!!!!

First place paid $200,000. The lap leaders were Dean Jacobs, Dickie Gains, and Haud. Nobody else led a lap as I remember (long time ago though). I checked the box score and it shows:

A-MAIN LAP LEADERS: Laps 1-19 Jacobs, Laps 20-28 Gaines, Laps 29-40 Haudenschild

That was one of my favorite events of all time. Not the best race I've seen, but one of the best overall events for sure. I'd love to see another one. If they are going to do one based on a vote, late models will win with ease. Much bigger fan base than anything else that runs at E. So if they pass those out at each race, I'm sure that would win.
