This Saturday June 4th The Hoosier Tire Midwest Sprint Car Series will be back in action at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana for round 3 of the 2011 season. This night will be a very special night for the local community as The Cunningham family has donated money throughout the entire field. This contribution is in memory of Mike Cunningham who lost his life on June 6th 2008 just a few miles North of the race track on Highway 41. Mike was a tow truck driver for 64 Garage in Princeton and also a Reserve for the Princeton Police Department.

Mike was a HUGE sprint car fan as he attended every event at Tri-State Speedway and would always show up on the road where ever the cars and stars of the MSCS would schedule a race.

The loss was devistating for for his wife Emilee and sons Dylan (2 at the time) and Kayden (9 months at the time).

Emilee states Mike would not have missed a race here at Haubstadt so why not carry on his memory with a race in his honor. This will be the 3rd year the boys and I have have donated money to this race and the outpouring support has been amazing from the drivers, car owners and fans in attendance the last 2 years.

Here is how the purse will look for Saturday's race.

Plus all heat race winners will recieve $100 and the first car that does not transfer from the B Main to the A main will recieve an extra $100 giving that driver $200. All other drivers that come and race Saturday and do not transfer will recieve $100 for their efforts.

We hope to see alot of cars and fans both in attendance on Saturday June 4th for the very special race in memory of Mike Cunningham.
