Chase Stockon snagged the feature on a last lap pass of Braylan Fitzpatrick. Those two battled all 30 laps. The track prep was the best I've seen in a long time, and as usual the racing was incredible.It's a long drive from home for me, but well worth the drive. Never a bad show at Tommy's place,

I agree, Chris. That was an incredible race! Most people expected to see a showdown between Levi Jones and Brady Short. Which makes sense, because they're two of the best drivers in the nation. But, instead, they saw a wild and riveting shootout and test of wills between Chase Stockon and Braylon Fitzpatrick. That was one of those races that said a lot about the that character of the main two combatants, as well. Because there was a time that it looked like Chase had separated himself from the Braylon and Boespflug (who should come to TSS more often) and was on his way, but Braylon got up off the matt and came up firing, to somehow get the lead back. Then, after he rested the lead back, on the 24th lap and looked sure to win, Chase mounted a comeback. The race looked over as they took the white flag. But, when Chase came off of turn two, you could tell that he didn't think it was over, because he was just standing on it and had an incredible run down the backstretch and a great dive into turn three. It was a case where one guy saw daylight and just went for it. And somehow made it stick. It's a shame that either of those guys had to lose, because they both turned in winning performances. They provided us with a battle and a race that people will be talking about for a long time. Chase has always shown a lot of heart and that he has much more talent than he has funding. And Braylon is improving at an alarming rate, right now.

None of this wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for Tom performing his magic. Track conditions looked pretty good from that start. But you could tell there was something that he and Blake didn't like, because after hot laps and before the feature they made some major adjustments. And as usual, their fine tuning paid off, in spades. They set the stage for these guys to bring the house down. And did they ever. Because this was an Instant Classic! Even compared to the standard, run of the mill Haubstadt thriller.

It sounds like to me that braylon has a very bright future ahead of him

An amazing race is really all you can say about that..anyone get video of that ? I think I can watch it a few more times

Glad to hear that it was a good show but when is there ever a bad show at Tommy's place? I skipped out this time, I'm saving up for Midget Week in two weeks. Chase has had his good runs there in the past but hasn't been able to salvage much. Was Levi in Kevin Studley's car or was it someone else's?

It belongs to a guy from Evansville, named Jack Rogers. Or it's Levi's deal with this guy funding it. From what I heard and what I've seen so far, it's going to be Levi's to run in these local shows, when ever he wants.

A footnote to Chase's Feature win. When he crawled in the car for the feature the Power Steering and Fuel Pumps fell loose. Chase's dad got a bunge cord and put them in placed and prayed for thirty laps. The bunge cord was still in tact in victory lane. When it's your night, things can happen that way.

Chase , hell of a drive you let him get ya late in the race , but that was the best slide job I've seen in a long time , Stanbrough would have been proud of that one . That was a LPS slide job to the win , had to time that one prefect to get thur . GREAT JOB !!! The car was fast and you guys drove a hell of a race. Keep up the good work there and more wins will come with that kind of moves.

The Haubstadt slide job is a thing of beauty and the best doing it are Clayton Stanbrough and Hunter but now its time to add another name cuz it was abeautiful slide and the new name is Chase

A great race it was, but a great slide job is one that you don't take the front end out from the other car. Braylon made the mistake of not protecting the bottom in turn 3 going for the checkers. I was sitting right there and witnessed Chase slide up and and hit Braylon, knocking his front end up the track, but that's dirt track racing with two young bucks running ALL out. For you people calling it the perfect slider that Bro would be proud of, I think Bro and Cowboy would prefer no contact for the win! It was about like Hunter's pass of Bland Jr. a few years ago and Hunter saying after the race that he hated to get the win that way and he was sorry, he just wanted the win for the crowd.
