“Angell Park/Badger Midget Opener now set for Monday May 30”
“rain nixes May 29 event”

Sun Prairie, Wis., May 29---Rain showers Sunday afternoon have forced Angell Park Speedway track officials to postpone the Stark Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series season opener to Monday Night May 30.

Badger will now begin its 75th Anniversary season, the oldest midget auto racing sanctioning organization,on Monday Night at the famed 1/3-mile clay oval which celebrates their 65th season of racing. The event will start one hour earlier than normal with pit gates opening at 2:00 p.m., spectator gates at 4:00 p.m., hot laps at 5:00 p.m. with quailfying and racing to follow. The Badger 600cc Micro division will also compete on the evening's race card.
