They tried. Timewise everything was going well; no redraws for the top two in the heats, no mini-sprint consy, a reasonably quick mod consy, only one messup at the start with Burdette getting turned around and Clemons getting a flat tire (non-related). The weather hit about 10 minutes earlier than expected. They ran it until it was obvious a some of the cars were getting squirraly on account of the rain.

Yes, dave and crew did a great job speeding the race up to try and get it in. Almost made it, good night at the burg
