Bryan Clauson must be on the right team. His SSM IndyCar stablemates are P1,2 & 4 in qualifying so far.

Davey Hamilton is safely in the show. So far in 14th.

Penske and Gannasi only have one car apiece in the top ten. They're lucky. Andretti Autosport is dangerously close to being shutout today in qualifying.

---------- Post added at 02:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:56 PM ----------

Update. Gannasi now P2,3. SSM still P1, 4, 5.

Carpenter still needs to qualify.

Andretti Autosport still out to lunch.

Schecter and a Foyt car on the bubble.

The Nuttty Nine shootout to follow.

Yes Sam's Indy Lights is the best team in the series 5 Freedom 100 wins and wrote many records!

Go get them Clauson!

Simona bumps the Foyt backup and becomes the bubble speed. Good to see her back after that wild ride.

Damn, she speaks better English than I do.

---------- Post added at 03:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:52 PM ----------

Simona bumpps her way back into the field and so does John Andretti.

Kimball gets a yellow on a qualification run because of rain. This may be it.

Brisco, Danica, Tracy, Rahal, Marco all may be out of luck today.

I watched Simona and Marco qualifying on the live stream. Simona must have been trimmed out and got everything out of it including being a foot off the wall in the short chutes. Marco was the width of the car from the wall and was nowhere near as fast.

Not sure. Jay Howard drove it last year but he is in the Rahal-Letterman car this year. It would be cool to see a Lazier or Kite given a shot. Either way tomorrow will be crazy.

Considering the crash she had been in, Simona putting it in the show was amazing. First off, climbing the catch fence and sliding down the track, upside down, on fire, at 220 mph has to be a hell of an experience. Add to that, she did it in a car that had been repaired, after it had been trashed in the wreck. And with burned hands that were taped up. That was a courageous run, right there.

Rumor had Buddy Lazier in the 2nd car.

Update:
"Seen outside the Sarah Fisher Racing garages: a representative from Dragon Racing talking to Andy O'Gara. Recall that Fisher has entered a #57 car that, given Ed Carpenter's success today, may well be available to the highest bidder."

I had a great time yesterday! The new format adds a lot to the entertainment value.
