The much anticipated "Racefest" weekend at West Virginia Motor Speedway on May 28th and 29th has been postponed. The track management had undertaken the huge task of turning the 5/8 mile monster track into a more suitable 3/8 mile dirt oval. Factor in the record amounts of rainfall this spring, and it comes as no surprise that the new track will not be ready in time. Both BOSS and WVMS officials are highly disappointed due to the large interest expressed by both drivers and fans.
The BOSS non wing sprints will be back at the new 3/8 mile West Virginia Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 9th in a doubleheader with the All Star Circuit of Champions winged sprints. The BOSS single day event will pay $2,000 to win and $300 to start the main event. There will also be $150 guaranteed tow money to any car attempting to race and not making the mian event.
New dates are still being negotiated for 2011. Watch for details soon on a 2 day event for Labor Day weekend and for a 2 day event in June that will now be the BOSS tour debut. More information on the series and the schedule can be found at
