What's everyone's take on a 600 as opposed to running a 1000 upright mini sprint? I know 1000's are more popular and what everyone's running in the AMSA and MMSA. I was just wondering if there was any since in running a 600? Is the 35 speedway the only place to consistently run them? Does anyone know what a regular car count is or what the payout is at 35?
Thanks in advance. |

Jeremy, 5 years ago I would have told you to run a 600 over a 1200. 35 was getting around 25 cars a night and so was Waynesfield. Since the MMSA came around pretty much everyone in Ohio switched to the bigger engines. The 600's at 35 was a great deal, but the cars are so much more locked down without the power to unhook them, and it would often be flat out around a 1/5 mile track. Lately 35 has only been getting 6-10 cars a week... I'm not sure what the current payout is; the last time I won there in 07' we had 24 cars and it was $350 to win and I think $30 to start.
