I'm looking for some advice. I'm from Kansas City MO and making a trip to Ohio to pickup a car. Can you guys suggest a good place to stop and catch some legendary Indiana non-wing sprint car action on Saturday the 23rd? I don't think there's any USAC shows that day. I was thinking of stopping by Salem or Winchester since I haven't been there in several years but I'm SOL on them also. Thanks for the help.

Not sure if Lawrenceburg is running on Saturday, but if it is I'd hit that place up, never been but heard it's pretty bad ass or LPS

If Fremont is near where you're going in Ohio, they're racing April 23. Winged 410s & 305s.

It all depends on what part of the state you are going to be travelling to. If you are near north west Ohio, I would go to Toledo Speedway for pavement late models and modifieds in the afternoon then head to Fremont Speedway for 410's and 305's on dirt about 45 min. east. I have managed to do both on the same day and who doesn't love two races in one day.

POWRI midgets also run at Macon, IL on the 23rd.

Lawrenceburg also runs sprints on the 23rd. It pretty well south, if you are headed that way. Great track, lots of diehard fans on here.

Obviously the weather is always a factor in April and May, and if all else fails the museum at the Speedway I believe has many if not all of the 500 winners there until this years 500.

I would love to go to Toledo and Fremont but it's quite a ways north. We're going to Dayton so we'll be traveling through Indy.

you best bet then since you are going 70 all the way across is LPS, LPS is only about 5-10 mins north of 70

Leave a day early and do the Gas City/Lawrenceburg 2 step. You won't regret it
