With it being the last year for this car I guess they will be sending some people home. Anyways, I can't wait for May. Great time to be in the Hoosier state.

May send some cars home...probably not any legitimate drivers. They always have a bunch of phantom entries, cars without motors, "start and park cars", people walking around with helmet bags, etc. 41 entries..they may be lucky to have 33 starters.

There looks to be three entries that look to be "garage space" or "phantom entries." That's the Panther #44, Sarah Fisher's 57, and the China Racing #89. That brings you down to 39 attempting to qualify at least. While there are entries that may not show up, many times there are deals put together with backup cars that are not on the entry list. But with qualifying down to just one weekend, that is less likely to happen. So, I'm gonna guess about 39-40 trying to qualify ultimately.

How many times are people going to say that they'll be lucky to have 33 cars? Not happening.

42 entries 83 cars. I predict you will see a few guys try to make the field the 2nd day. I really only see 2 entries on here that may be phantams. If DRR is up to speed, I wouldn't be surprised to see them put Pagenout in a car. Or look for him to fall into another ride, after last weekend, I bet he can come up with some backing. I also would not be surprised to see a last min. announcment about Hornish driving one of these cars. Here is the list. I took out all of the t cars.

Pagenaud will be in the #16 car. His sports car team is fielding the car with an association with a current team (Panther is a good bet). Just hasn't been officially announced yet. Their plan is to be full-time next season. I've read several places Hornish isn't really interested, but if he did run, I think car #8 or #44 would be the places. Heard Buddy Rice might get the #8 seat with Penske, Jr. Would be nice to see a former american winner in a seat. He certainly belongs.

I think almost all of the TBA cars will be filled IF teams don't have issues with their primary cars. I see 38-41 cars going for 33. There will be no issues getting 33.
