I would like to thanks everyone for a great opening night of racing this past weekend. Looking back i have to thank mother nature for giving me just what we needed to get the race in. Watching the weather forecast is a 24-7 job in every decision i make. The forecast called for rain on friday in which we did'nt get much, so on friday night i watered the track with 30,000 gallons of water. Woke up early saturday morning looked at the weather and seen on the rader rain was a coming around 10am, at that point i rushed to the track and started running in the surface at 7am, by about 10am i had the track sealed over and ready for the rain. The rain finally stopped at 2:30pm, and with clearing skies knew we was going to be ok to get the track race ready around 6:30pm. Special thanks go out to Bryon Crauge and Jim Huber for helping me get the track worked in. Also thanks goes out to Kim Rudisell for getting word out that we was racing, and thanks to Trent and Tory Collins and the entire crew for keeping things going while i was on the track playing in the dirt.
It takes a big team of dedicated staff to put on a show let alone the curve balls thrown at us weekly. I am so very proud of each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication to Lawrenceburg Speedway. The fans and teams who show up to support us is also much apprieciated. As a speedway we need everyone to come together as a family to succeed, and we did just that!! I am looking forward to the rest of the season and spening time with my loyal racing family. Sincerely, Dave Rudisell www.lawrenceburgspeedway.com |
