NOT a good idea!!!...some years back

Nick remember the peanut hull deal at Lake City when Stafford was eating peanuts on your right front and throwing the hulls on my left? Then we go out and both have a flat on those tires....Similar crap happened Sat. night with photographer Lee Gammel...that peanut eating SOB.

Sat. Night: Lee was at the car Sat. night eating boiled peanuts and I told him get the hell away from the car eating peanuts and sited our ordeal with them and he said, "oh ********".....things went great all night until I needed to add water to the car before the feature and what did we do ...not thinking pushed the car right over his god damn peanut hulls.... went out for the feature and a F...ing fuel line broke when my driver fired the car (Lightning Sprint...didn't want anyone to think I was talking about TAXI CABS) on the front stretch after driver introductions...I had JUST last week replaced EVERY line on the car..

This was the 4th incident with peanuts in my 40 years of racing. .I do believe in superstition !!!!!!!

DO YOU!!!!

I don't care if they are bad luck or not, I just hate cleaning the shells out of the cab of the truck!

Wait a minute... there ARE no hulls from boiled peanuts.....they eat the whole thing don't they
Having said all that, I'm eating peanuts anyway....in the stands.

I grew-up around a bunch harness horsemen. A lot of the oldtimers swore eating peanuts in the barn or on raceday was bad luck. Dad was not superstitious, but he did want any of us eating peanuts. Said he did feel like hitting the dirt. This superstitious would have started long before car racing, I'm guessing.

Hard work, and preparation have far more to do with how your night goes than "luck" in my book. I don't buy it.

I have never had any problems with green/broken mirrors/black cats or walking under a ladder...just with the damn peanut hulls.... again in 40 years of racing I have had 4 different freaky things happen that was not suppose to happen...there is ALWAYS a reason for it if you search hard enough for it....I'm still trying to find the reason BRAND NEW fuel line broke after we had run hotlaps/heat/won the dash, then pushed the car to the front stretch for the "A" and after running over those damn peanut hull when my driver fired the engine it started spraying fuel...hell I thought it was water....when I knew it was fuel thought it might a been the regulator go bad, but no it was the brand new fuel line

Always knock wood, I didnt once and had 5 tickets 30 minutes later,
Never race anything without naming her first,
Always take a new helmet and drop it on the ground. First time I didnt do that I bout had my head torn off from a speedwaybikes rear tire.
I wont race anything inless something my daughter made is with me.
thats it, not a very long list I have nothing against green or #13 cars.
