I was there that day. It was my first USAC race and first road trip with my dad and his racing buddies. It was my first time to see sprint cars without a cage. when Gil"s car flipped on to the fence even at my age I knew it was bad think I was maybe 8 to 10. Remember rideing home and dad and friends saying till USAC puts cages on we"ll not go to another race think that lasted till next race I"ll never forget that day are name .
