The “Trophy Dash” has traditionally been one of the most exciting parts of any local racing event. Trophy Dashes are once again going to be a part of the Saturday Night excitement at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Illinois this season. The Short Track Auto Racing Series is pleased to make this popular race part of our inaugural season.
At each STARS event the National series “Midget” race cars and the Illinois- STARS classic modified “Dwarf” race cars will have “The Hot Rod Barn Trophy Dash”, a six lap dash for cash and more to the winner.
“Many of the fans asked about bringing back the Trophy Dash. It is a fun race for both the fans and the race teams.” said Joe Kirkeeng, President of STARS, “The commitment that The Hot Rod Barn has brought to us allow our fans and competitors to enjoy a tradition started many years ago at short track events.”
Look for “The Hot Rod Barn Trophy Dash” on June 11th when the Short Track Auto Racing season opens up at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Illinois.
