I pulled the wheels off last night and noticed my outer wheel hub has the cone spacer pulled halfway through. Is this normal cause I really think there's an issue. This is my first car so I'm going over everything and making sure everything is right. Any thoughts? Thank you, Patrick

No, that isn't normal, it's either been run loose, or way over tightened, I've not seen one do that, unless one of the above has occured. Did you just aquire this car? I would definatly go over it, with someone with some experience, hard telling what else you'll find. Bob

No doubt. I just picked the car up about a month ago and going over each nut and bolt cause all were loose (just coated). I figured it was from running loose from the signs of how warm it had got at some point. I'm thinking of going with splined wheels anyways instead of the pin style cause I was told it's a better setup and less parts to mess with. Thanks

Actually, I prefer the pin type, one thing, wheels are cheaper, and lighter, and if you need something in a hurry, I've found that you're more apt to find a 4 pin, 6 pin than the splined one, most folks carry them as spares. JMHO Bob!

Really? Thats good to know and it's sounds like a better move for a new guy like me to stay with what works.
