If anyone has ideas or pics, please call me anytime today (Thurs) WHENEVER...I can't fig out how shift lever on a QCS style rear-end attaches. I dont know if maybe posi-lock rods or something would help? If you have anything or ideas, please let me know. Thank-you!!!! Have used Winters & Halibrand (with the "u-style" deal) b4 without as much issue.

And who are u??? If u could enlighten me with your intelligence, I would greatly appreciate it. I have never claimed to be the smartest person in the world...
Send me some pics, or even better some of the parts I need (or a check)! We will be at Ft Wayne this weekend. Maybe u can stop by the #56 pit and educate me! I'd LOVE to meet u. Thanks. ---------- Post added at 03:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:13 AM ---------- BTW - I DID try lookn on www for QCS website b4 askn...no site. Also, a much more pleasent individual left this respone on MM: Jason, I run a QCS. The shift rod is connected to the shift cable by a allen head bolt that threads into the end of the shift rod. The cable is held in place by a bracket and there is a rod end on the cable that the bolt goes through. The QCS shifts the opposit of the winters style, I pull up to lock in. I really wish I had a picture for you. So, Posilock wont work because it locks in the wrong direction (out of gear) Your cable needs to have a rod end on the end of it. you need to bolt the rod end to the shift rod on the rear end. (I feel you may be missing a piece, otherwise you would have figured this out. The shift rod has a detent ball and is spring loaded. My QCS jumps into gear if you rev the motor out of gear sometimes. |
