I am guessing first we have to see what tracks are left in Illinois.

Has anyone heard anything about Vermilion County Speedway?

It would be great to have a sprint week it would be even better if they could have midgets and sprints both.

Modstox Why wait! Next state over all ready has a sprint week Its called Indiana Srint Weekand its great!!!!

thanks for he advice but unfortunately already ben there in 2007.. were"track chasers" and would like to add to the 70 tracks in usa weve visited..already been to pa,ohio and florida speedweeks to and just trying to find new tracks where we can go 10 different tracks in 10 days...racing heaven

beginning to think illinois sprint speedweek may not happen in 2011 given the prev dates now clash with indiana midget week
anyway any info gratefully received..

i would say it is not going to happen. last years promoter is no where to be found. the rained outs were never made up, and the point fund was never paid.

I know this is an open wheel board and some people only like open wheels. However, if you want to see alot of Illinois tracks in a short amount of time you might want to check out the UMP summernationals. Something like 28 races in 30 days on different tracks around the midwest with a bunch in Illinois.

If you are track chasers and are looking to add tracks, I would also recommend the UMP summernationals. During the month, they have a couple of weekend shows that pay a little more. Try to use these dates as your bookends.
